Suburbs we cover here: Boksburg CBD, Boksburg North, Jet Park, Anderbolt
Most of our work in Hughes is industrial: the Hughes industrial stands, workshops and yards running doors hard all day. A door here is a piece of plant, not a fitting, and it gets specified against the duty rather than the price list.
What we see in Hughes
Cycle count is the number that matters. A warehouse door opening two hundred times a day wears a spring in a fraction of the time a domestic one does, so we quote the slat gauge, the drive and the spring against how hard the opening is actually worked.
We work Hughes often enough that our vans are usually already on that side of Boksburg when the call comes in.
Motors, backup and load shedding
If your door has started straining or reversing part-way, the motor is usually reporting a mechanical problem rather than causing one. In Hughes that is nearly always a spring past its cycle life.
Repairs on any make
Any make, any age. Most Hughes repairs are a spring, a cable, a guide or a motor, and we carry the common parts on the van so the first visit is usually the only visit.
What it costs
Prices depend on the opening size, the slat, whether it is manual or motorised, and what the fixings are going into. We do not publish a single figure because a 2.4m domestic opening and a 6m industrial one are not the same product. Send the measured width and height and you get a costed quote within one working day.
How soon we can be there
We are in Hughes most days, so a survey is usually within 48 hours and a breakdown is attended same-day where we can get to you. Manufacture is at our own works, which is why a made-to-measure door does not carry a six-week lead time.
Getting a quote
Send us the opening size and a photograph if you have one. A rough width and height is enough to start — we confirm on site at the free survey.

Common questions
Roller doors in Hughes
Same day where we can reach you, and the standby number is answered 24 hours. Hughes is inside our normal working area, so a breakdown is a short run rather than a scheduled visit.
Yes, and on a high-cycle opening we would recommend it. A planned service catches a spring before it breaks, which is the difference between a scheduled hour and a stopped shift.
Yes. Every door is built to the measured opening at our own works, so a wide bay is a specification question rather than a stock one. Send the width, the height and the headroom.
